Our mission is helping one another get through the Valley of Death.  Diversity is a good thing, but we use it, rather than focus on it.

The Diversity/VoD bootboard's mission is short term.  We want to grow quickly enough to split into two or more better focused groups.  The primary interests expressed by the attendees of our first meeting was in having a diverse group and in helping one another get through the Valley of Death.  Although Diversity is a good thing, it's hard to have a cohesive group if that's all we have in common.
