Many economic development initiatives focus heavily on attracting large companies or investors. This is a challenging strategy because both firms and investors have a list of requirements and seek tangible economic incentives. It also neglects the most powerful asset already available to the community - it's latent entrepreneurs - who often subscribe to the pervasive societalEntrepreneurial Myths.

Services

  1. Educate City Leadership through interactive talks and Boot Speak sessions (half, one and two-day)
  2. Teach bootstrapping principles via live or online Bootstrap Bootcamps offered through the local partner
  3. Create, support and organize a local bootstrap chapter similar to Bootstrap Austin
  4. Deploy city-specific web-based tools to support the local bootstrap chapter
  5. Guide high-potential ventures through the key stages - Ideation, Valley of Death, Growth - of the bootstrap process
  6. Connect the local chapter with the larger Bootstrap Network
